A one-year-old girl was hospitalized after burning her face on heating pipes. Her mother has long complained about mould issues in their flat, raising serious safety concerns.

Stockport: A baby girl had to be taken to the hospital after she burned her face on exposed heating pipes. This happened in a flat where her mom, Paris, has been raising concerns for a while.
Little Hallie, just one year old, got hurt when she pressed her face against the hot pipes. Paris has been asking Stockport Homes to cover these pipes, which are in every room of their flat.
For six years, Paris has dealt with mould in their home. She believes it’s made Hallie sick before, as the little one was in and out of the hospital with bronchitis last year.
“Every room is covered in mould,” Paris said. “The floor is thick with it.” She’s worried about her kids’ health and feels overwhelmed by the situation.
Paris mentioned that even their mattresses are affected. “I’ve reported it many times, but they just paint over it,” she added, feeling frustrated with the lack of real solutions.
She’s scared for her children’s safety. “You hear stories about people getting really sick or worse. I can’t help but worry,” she said.
Stockport Homes responded, saying they’re very concerned about the situation. They promised to box in the heating pipes and provide safety measures like baby gates.
They also acknowledged the mould issue and said they’re taking it seriously. A new inspection is set for January 28 to address the problems properly.
In a similar case, another mom reported that Stockport Homes left her without heating and hot water for a year. She felt ignored despite trying to get help.
Paris feels the same way, saying workers come to her flat but only paint over the mould. “They really don’t care,” she concluded, expressing her frustration.
