Starting March 23, new ticket options for buses and Metrolink trams will be available. These changes aim to make public transport more affordable and convenient for everyone.

Greater Manchester: Big changes are coming to bus and Metrolink tram tickets. Starting March 23, you’ll see new options that make getting around easier and cheaper.
Passengers can buy a ticket that covers both buses and trams. This could cost as little as £2.75 a day, which is pretty neat!
You can also spread the cost of annual tickets, which start at £1,000. Just pay through a Credit Union and make weekly or monthly repayments.
On the same day, a new ‘tap-in, tap-out’ system will launch. You can scan your bank card or phone when you board, and you’ll be charged the lowest fare at the end of the day.
They’ve also introduced a ‘hopper’ bus ticket. This lets you catch as many buses as you want within an hour of paying your fare.
Vernon Everitt, the transport commissioner, says these changes aim to simplify public transit. He believes it will encourage more people to use the services.
So, if you’re planning to travel, check out the new ticket options. They’re designed to make your life easier!
