Greater Manchester: A police officer is in hot water. PC Choni Kenny has admitted to some serious misconduct. She’s facing jail time for her connections with two criminals.

Kenny, 27, was based in the City of Manchester. She had denied several charges earlier but changed her plea in court. Now, she’s looking at five counts against her.

She was dressed in all black when she appeared at Liverpool Crown Court. The charges include misconduct in public office and conspiracy to commit misconduct. These incidents happened between April 2021 and June 2023.

Kenny failed to report her relationships with criminals. She also funded mobile phones for one of them and shared police information. That’s a big no-no in her line of work.

Her co-defendants, Rahim Mottley and Josh Whelan, are also in trouble. They’re both facing charges related to their criminal activities. They’ll all be sentenced together in April.

The judge warned Kenny that she should prepare for jail time. It’s a tough lesson learned for a police officer who crossed the line.
