Crewe: So, there’s this driving instructor, Glynn Chorlton, who got himself into a bit of trouble. He was in court after sending flowers and cards to a former student who just wanted some extra driving lessons.

Glynn, 63, really took things too far. He kept texting her and even showed up at her home and work. She had just gone through a divorce and wanted to boost her confidence behind the wheel, but he thought they were more than just friends.

Even after she passed her driving test, she tried to keep things professional. But Glynn didn’t get the hint. He kept pushing, saying he wanted to take their friendship to the next level. Yikes!

She felt super uncomfortable and started canceling lessons, but he just wouldn’t stop. He even sent her flowers on Valentine’s Day, which totally freaked her out. She thought they were just friends, and now he was making her feel uneasy.

Eventually, she had to tell him to back off, saying she’d contact the police if he didn’t stop. After that, things got serious, and the police got involved. It turned out to be a long 10 months of unwanted attention for her.

In court, Glynn admitted to harassment and got a restraining order, meaning he can’t contact her for four years. His defense said he didn’t threaten her, but he definitely crossed some lines.

Now, he might lose his driving instructor license after 38 years in the business. The judge made it clear that his behavior was unacceptable, and he’s got some community service to do as well. What a mess!
