An inquest reveals a teenager had earlier medical complaints before his tragic death during a school football match

Sale: A 15-year-old boy named Jake Lawler tragically died while playing football at school. Just a month before, he had complained about shortness of breath.
This heartbreaking incident happened on November 5 last year at Ashton on Mersey School. An inquest was held recently to look into what happened.
During the hearing, it came out that Jake had visited Wythenshawe Hospital for his breathing issues. He even collapsed around that time, which is really concerning.
The post-mortem revealed that Jake had a rare condition called biventricular arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy. It’s a genetic issue that can weaken the heart muscle. The coroner has scheduled a full inquest for April 15.
His school community was devastated by the news. They shared how much Jake meant to them and expressed their support for his family and friends during this tough time.
They also mentioned a memorial fund set up by Jake’s family to raise awareness about cardiac risks in young people. It’s a cause that aims to prevent sudden cardiac deaths and support affected families.
If anyone wants to help, donations can be made to this important cause.
