Stockport: A former bar owner is back with a new music venue. Benji Taylor, who ran the popular Bask bar, is launching The Underbank in the old Syndikat space.

This new spot will focus on live music, featuring touring bands, local artists, and DJs. It’ll also host comedy shows, poetry readings, and quiz nights. Sounds fun, right?

Benji wants The Underbank to be special. He’s planning a great lineup of events and performers. He’s even teasing some “absolute belters” for the opening.

He shared on Instagram that the venue will have a heavy PA system, amazing lights, and a beautiful stage. It’s going to be a place to enjoy music and more.

The Underbank is set to open in March. It’s taking over a space that has hosted art exhibitions and live gigs before. It’s got a cool history, too, being a former bank.

There’s even a Joy Division mural nearby, celebrating the band’s iconic album. It’s a nod to the town’s rich music history, which Benji is excited to continue.

He promises a well-stocked bar with local and international drinks. Plus, there’ll be fresh coffee for those who need a pick-me-up.

Benji believes the UK needs more venues like this. He’s ready to make a mark and will announce the first events soon. Can’t wait for the opening party!

Follow The Underbank on Instagram for updates. It’s going to be a blast!
