The Black British Book Festival is making its Manchester debut this March. Expect a day filled with inspiring panels, live readings, and a vibrant marketplace.

The festival is known as the biggest Black literature festival in the UK and Europe. It will feature panel discussions, live readings, and market stalls. Some amazing authors and speakers will be there, including DJ Paulette and poet Joseph Coelho.
Local authors like Kimberly Whittam and Abiola Bello will also join in for live readings. There’s even a panel discussion on storytelling and Black identity with some esteemed authors. It’s a great chance to hear from voices that often get overlooked.
DJ Paulette will share her experiences as a Black woman in the DJ scene. Kehinde Andrews will give a talk on Malcolm X, which sounds powerful. Plus, there will be creative workshops and a Black Book Marketplace to explore.
The organizers are excited to bring the full festival experience to Manchester. They want to connect communities and inspire new readers and writers. Best of all, tickets are free, but you’ll need to grab them quickly since spaces are limited! So, mark your calendars and get ready for a fantastic day of literature and celebration.
