Greater Manchester: It’s getting really cold out there! Temperatures have taken a nosedive, and tonight is expected to be even chillier. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice, so be careful if you’re heading out.

We’ve had a mix of snow, sleet, and even some flooding lately, which hasn’t helped. The warning is in place until midday, so keep an eye on those icy roads and pavements.

Last night, temperatures dropped below freezing, with Manchester waking up to a brisk -1C. If you’re in the hilly areas, it’s even colder—Saddleworth hit -2C and Ramsbottom dropped to -3C.

Today, we can expect some lovely winter sunshine, but it’ll be chilly. The forecast shows highs of just 2C around 3pm, but don’t get too comfy because it’s going to cool down quickly tonight.

Most areas will see temperatures fall to around -4C, but those remote spots like Saddleworth and Littleborough could drop to a frosty -7C. Ramsbottom and Mossley aren’t far behind at -6C.

And guess what? Tomorrow looks like more of the same. We’ll have dry, sunny weather, but highs will still only reach 2C in Manchester. Lows could dip to -3C in the city and even hit -10C in Littleborough. Stay warm out there!
