A serious incident outside a car wash prompted a large emergency response. The driver was injured but is expected to recover after being rescued from the vehicle.

Newton: A major emergency response unfolded on Tuesday evening. It all started outside a car wash on Newton Road.
Police, fire crews, and paramedics rushed to the scene around 5:30 PM. You could see multiple fire engines and ambulances lining the road.
A nearby gym had to close immediately. They told members to stay away for the night.
Turns out, there was a collision involving one car. The driver had to be cut out of the vehicle and was taken to the hospital.
Reports say the car hit a wall or a bollard. Thankfully, the driver’s injuries aren’t serious or life-threatening.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service shared details. They said two fire engines and a technical response unit were dispatched to the scene.
Crews arrived quickly and used special equipment to rescue the driver. After that, the driver was handed over to the North West Ambulance Service.
Greater Manchester Police also showed up to help with the situation. It was quite the scene, but everyone is hopeful for a good recovery.
