Greater Manchester: It’s freezing out there! The region is really feeling the chill today, with temperatures expected to drop again. The Met Office has warned us to bundle up.

This morning, the weather station in Rostherne, just south of Altrincham, recorded a frosty -8C. And guess what? It’s not getting any warmer anytime soon. We’re in for a dry, sunny day, but it’s still going to be cold.

Expect some mist and clouds this morning, but by 10am, we should see some sunny breaks. Clear skies are on the way later, but don’t let that fool you; it’s still going to be a chilly evening.

Most areas will hit 0C by late morning, but Oldham might take a bit longer, reaching that mark around 1pm. Wigan could see a high of 3C, while most of Greater Manchester will hover around 2C, and Oldham will be at 1C.

Tonight, it’s going to get even colder. Most places will drop to about -4C, with Bolton and Rochdale hitting -5C, and Oldham dropping to -6C. Saddleworth and Ramsbottom are in for a real chill, with forecasts of -9C overnight. Stay warm, everyone!
