A bus driver suffered serious injuries after a medical episode led to a crash in Wigan, prompting emergency services to respond quickly
Wigan: A bus driver had a rough day on Thursday. He got seriously hurt after his bus crashed into a tree. It seems he had a medical episode while driving.
This all went down around 4 PM on Atherleigh Way. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene. They worked hard to get the driver out of the bus.
Fire crews had to cut him free, and he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Thankfully, no one else was hurt since the bus was out of service and empty.
