Seven Brothers Brewery has sadly closed its Middlewood Locks beerhouse. The decision comes as a blow to the local community that cherished the venue’s vibrant atmosphere.
Salford: It’s a bummer to hear that Seven Brothers Brewery has closed its Middlewood Locks beerhouse. This spot was a favorite for many locals.
Seven Brothers started back in 2014 when seven brothers decided to brew beer together. They opened their Middlewood Locks location in December 2019, and it quickly became a community hub.
People loved hanging out there for live events and enjoying a good meal. They served tasty burgers and kebab wraps, plus a great selection of their own beers and spirits from Sis4ers Distillery.
Sadly, their last event was a Champions League match screening, and now it’s all over. The brothers shared their heartfelt message on their website, saying they had to make this tough decision.
Fans of the beerhouse are already expressing their sadness online. One person commented on Instagram, saying they were really gutted about the closure. It’s clear that the vibe and friendly staff will be missed.
Keith McAvoy, one of the brothers, once said their beerhouses were all about community. They wanted to create a place where everyone felt at home. It’s a shame to see it go.
This isn’t the first closure for Seven Brothers. Last year, they also shut down their Liverpool Beerhouse due to rising costs and challenges in the hospitality sector.
But don’t worry, the brewery is still going strong in Salford. They have their original Ancoats beerhouse and a new spot in MediaCity that opened in 2023. So, there’s still plenty of Seven Brothers beer to enjoy!
They even have a cool venue at Manchester Airport and a partnership with Square Chapel in Halifax. Plus, they recently launched a special brew to support Salford Lads Club. So, while one door closes, another opens!
