A man was arrested in Manchester after police received reports of him acting suspiciously with a weapon. The public was urged to stay away for their safety during the search.
Fast forward to this morning, and they’ve nabbed a 26-year-old in Salford. He’s in custody now, facing some serious questions about that weapon. The police had been tracking him since he was spotted wandering around the city.
They mentioned he was seen moving from the Arndale to Deansgate, passing through Cross Street and Albert Square. It was around 9:20 PM when people first noticed him. The police made their move around 2 AM today on Ordsall Lane.
A spokesperson from GMP said they appreciate the public’s help in sharing the appeal. They’re still digging into the details of what happened. Thankfully, no one reported any direct threats, but they’ve ramped up patrols in the area just to be safe.
