A violent thug has been sentenced for his aggressive behavior in Piccadilly Gardens. His actions included harassing strangers and leading a group attack on an innocent man.
One day, a man saw Abdi bothering a group of girls. He bravely stepped in and told Abdi to stop. But Abdi just threatened him, saying, “Watch what happens.”
Later, Abdi returned with a group of seven masked men. They attacked the same man, punching him and kicking him while he was on the ground. It was a brutal scene.
Days later, another man was waiting for a bus when Abdi called him over. He tricked the man into sitting between him and a friend. Then, he tried to steal the man’s phone.
Luckily, the man noticed and quickly escaped to call the police. Abdi has a long criminal history, with 22 convictions for 39 offenses.
In court, Abdi expressed regret and said he wanted to change his life. He was sentenced to 10 months in jail and given a three-year order to stay away from certain areas in the city center.
