Manchester: Big news for foodies! A brand new food hall is coming to the city. It’s called House of Social, and it’s set to open later this summer.
Located on First Street, it’ll have five kitchens all in one spot. You can expect a mix of delicious cuisines, from pizzas to dumplings. It’s super close to the HOME theatre and public transport.
Jake Atkinson, who used to run Mackie Mayor, is leading this project. The space will be huge, covering 12,000 square feet over two levels. It’s designed to be bright and welcoming, thanks to those stunning arched windows.
They haven’t revealed the names of the kitchens yet, but they promise some big names will be involved. The hall will have room for about 400 diners, so it’s going to be lively!
Jake is really excited about the location. He mentioned how beautiful the building is, with lots of natural light and unique design features. He believes the traders will create amazing menus that fit perfectly in a food hall.
House of Social is the latest addition to Manchester’s growing food scene. Last summer, Bolton Market opened a revamped food hall, and Oldham recently launched its Egyptian Room food hall.
Mark your calendars! House of Social is set to open in Summer 2025. It’ll be open from Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 8 AM and staying open until 1 AM on weekends.
